Sky Sports pundit states his prediction for Man United v Leicester
Charlie Nicholas is tipping Man United to play out a 1-1 draw with Leicester City on Saturday
Charlie Nicholas is backing Manchester United to drop yet more points and be held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Red Devils have been struggling for results and are without a win since their opening-weekend victory over Chelsea FC at Old Trafford.
Since that game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have been held to draws against Southampton and Wolves, and they also suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Manchester United will be aiming to return to winning ways in front of their home fans when they host the Foxes at Old Trafford this weekend.
However, former Arsenal star Nicholas feels that the Red Devils are likely to drop two more points when they host Brendan Rodgers’ men on Saturday afternoon.
Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “It is a cracking game, one which I would like to see. Leicester are visiting one of the teams I think they could catch.
“I am looking at what they have and what they don’t have, but the simple fact is Leicester have started the campaign well. This is a game where they can open up and threaten Manchester United.
“If they play open and expansively then they will be content. Brendan Rodgers’ side has a shape but can counter-attack and are good with the ball.
“I don’t know whether Anthony Martial will be fit. Marcus Rashford will play through the middle but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team will still be vulnerable in defence.”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last season.
The Red Devils will return to Europa League action on Thursday night when they take on Astana at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer brought in three new players over the summer – Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Daniel James and Harry Maguire – as he prepared for his first full season in charge at Old Trafford.
