Spurs have made a slow start to the new Premier League season following a return of five points from their opening four top-flight fixtures.
Tottenham won their opening fixture against Aston Villa before Spurs twice came from behind to rescue a 2-2 draw with defending champions Manchester City at The Etihad.
The Champions League runners-up suffered a surprise 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before Spurs squandered a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Arsenal last time out.
Crystal Palace have already proven adept at claiming three points against the top six this term after Roy Hodgson’s side beat Manchester United at Old Trafford last month.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Spurs to beat Palace in a game with plenty of goals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
“Back-to-back league wins for Palace including a famous win at Old Trafford, but I expect to see Spurs edge a tight London derby on home soil,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Mauricio Pochettino’s side lost their last home game to Newcastle and let a two-goal lead slip at the Emirates last time.
“They badly need to return to winning ways ahead of their trip to Olympiacos in the Champions League on Wednesday.”
Spurs reached the Champions League final last season before a 2-0 defeat by Premier League rivals Liverpool FC in the Madrid showpiece.
Tottenham managed to finish in the Premier League’s top four for the fourth successive season under Mauricio Pochettino.
The Lilywhites are currently in ninth place in the Premier League table after a return of five points from four games.
