Tottenham Hotspur are “ramping up” their interest in signing Steven Sessegnon from Fulham less than a month after landing his twin brother Ryan, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that the Lilywhites are interested in bringing the 19-year-old to the north London club as they look to bolster their squad heading into next year.

According to the same story, Spurs have already failed with a “derisory” offer of £3m as part of a double deal for Ryan Sessegnon last month.

The same article claims that Spurs are not going to give up their pursuit, however, and that they will be back in again “soon” to try and sign Steven.

The story also reports that Steven Sessegnon’s current deal at Fulham expires in 2022 – and the club has the option to extend that by a further 12 months.

Spurs have made a mixed start to the new season, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men currently in ninth place in the Premier League table and with five points to their name.

They squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with local rivals Arsenal in the derby clash at The Emirates last weekend to leave them with just one win from their first four games.
