Charlie Nicholas is tipping Wolves to claim a 2-1 win over Chelsea FC in their Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea FC head into the game looking to try and return to winning ways after they squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge last time out.

The Blues have only taken five points from a possible 12 under new boss Frank Lampard this season and they will be desperate to return to winning ways when they travel to Molineux on Saturday.

Chelsea FC have only won one of their opening four games so far this season and Lampard will be keen for his side to keep pace with the top-four spots in the coming weeks.

However, former Arsenal star Nicholas is backing Wolves to secure a surprise win in front of their home fans and condemn Chelsea FC to their second defeat of the season.

Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “There are loads of people this weekend that will be editing their predictions.

“They will be checking teams and seeing who is fit and who could be the potential match-winner. It will be like that because of the guaranteed jackpot. Jeff must pay out again!

“Wolves do well against the big teams. Tammy Abraham has been in form and Mason Mount has been spectacularly good.

“Chelsea are still vulnerable at the back and will be threatened by Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez up front.

“I see Wolves beating Chelsea this weekend, and Wolves are the team, as many people that are talking about Leicester, that could definitely override the top-six trend.”

Chelsea FC are aiming to maintain their place in the top four this season after they finished in third place and won the Europa League under Maurizio Sarri last term.

Lampard was brought in at Stamford Bridge after Sarri opted to leave the club and take over at Juventus.
