Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is confident that Arsenal will have what it takes to finish in the top four this season.

The north London side suffered a blow to their Premier League hopes on Monday night when they slumped to a disappointing 1-0 loss to Sheffield United in the top flight.

That result left Arsenal in fifth place in the Premier League table and two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea FC after nine games of the new campaign.

Arsenal are aiming to try and break back into the top four this season after they finished in fifth place in the table last term under Unai Emery.

Aubameyang has made a fine start to the new campaign and has scored seven goals in nine games.

Speaking after receiving his Premier League player of the month award for September, Aubameyang insisted that he is confident that Emery’s side have what it takes to finish in the top four.

Aubameyang is quoted as saying by Metro: “I feel great. I’m feeling free on the pitch.

“I don’t know if it’s the best form of my career but it’s a good one so I will try to keep the level up.

“I’m sure we will achieve the top four. That’s the goal. That’s our aim.”

Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon as they attempt to get back to winning ways with a home clash against Crystal Palace.

The north Londoners have not won the Premier League title since the 2003-04 season.
