Arsenal are set to offer Bukayo Saka a new and improved contract following his strong start to the season with the north London side, according to reports in the British media.

Metro is reporting that the north London side are keen to hand the 18-year-old a new deal following his impressive performances for the Gunners this term.

The teenager has impressed when called upon this season and he has made three starts in the Premier League for Unai Emery’s men, notching up one assist in the top flight.

He has also scored one goal and made two assists in one Europa League appearance for Emery’s side.

According to the same story, the teenager is now set to commit his long-term future to Arsenal by signing a new long-term deal with the north London club.

Saka will be hoping to be involved when Arsenal return to Premier League action after the international break with a trip to Sheffield United.

The north London side are currently in third place in the Premier League table after having beaten Bournemouth 1-0 last time out thanks to David Luiz’s goal at The Emirates.

Arsenal finished fifth and without a trophy in the Premier League last term.
