Chelsea FC are looking to beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Northern Irish teenager Charlie Allen, according to a report in England.
Website Football Insider is reporting that the Blues are looking to get one over their London rivals by hijacking their bid to sign Allen.
The same article states Allen went on a trial at Tottenham before holding talks about a potential move to the Champions League runners-up.
According to the same story, Chelsea FC have also contacted Allen’s club Linfield to organise a trail at their Cobham training ground.
The report goes on to add that the Blues hope to beat Spurs to Allen’s signature.
However, Football Insider reveal that Manchester City are also keeping tabs on the 15-year-old starlet.

Abraham is the Premier League’s leading goal-scorer after netting eight goals in eight games.
Chelsea FC are in fifth place in the Premier League table after winning three of their last four games.
