Liverpool FC are planning a move to sign Leeds United’s on-loan Brighton defender Ben White in a £20m deal to replace Dejan Lovren, according to reports in the British media.
Football Insider, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that the Reds could be set to make a move to sign the Brighton and Hove Albion defender if Dejan Lovren leaves the club.
The 21-year-old has started all 11 Championship games for Leeds United this season and he won the PFA player of the month for August.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC are now keeping a close eye on White’s development as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his back-line at Anfield.
The same article says that Reds scouts have been “blown away” by White’s impressive performances this season and they could make a move to sign him next year.
According to the same article, Lovren is seeking a move away from Anfield after having fallen down the pecking order at the Merseyside club.
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action after the international break with a crunch clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford next weekend.
Klopp’s men are currently flying high at the top of the table and are eight points clear of Manchester City in second.
