The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the Brazil international could still play a role in some transfer business at Anfield despite missing out on a return to the Merseyside outfit in the summer.
The same article states that Jurgen Klopp could be set for what’s described as a key piece of business as the Reds weigh up a potential move to sign Germany international Muller.
According to the same story, the World Cup winner is feeling unsettled at Bayern Munich following Coutinho’s arrival from FC Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
The Liverpool Echo go on to add that a move for Muller would still appear unlikely give Klopp’s reluctance to sign players over the age of 30 since his appointment as Brendan Rodgers’ replacement back in 2015.
Klopp oversaw the sale of Coutinho to FC Barcelona in January 2018 after the Brazilian completed a £142m move to the Spanish giants to follow in the footsteps of Luis Suarez.
However, the South American playmaker struggled to leave his mark at the Spanish side and completed a loan move to Bayern Munich to kickstart his career in the summer.
