‘I don’t see a problem’: Scholes sends message to Man United fans about Solskjaer
Paul Scholes reveals his thoughts about Man United's struggles under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Paul Scholes has issued his backing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says that things will move in the right direction as long as the Manchester United boss is given control of transfers at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have made a stuttering start to the new season and they currently find themselves down in 12th place in the Premier League table heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.
Manchester United have only won two of their opening eight games in the Premier League and that has left them a staggering 15 points behind leaders Liverpool FC after just eight games.
The pressure has been mounting on Solskjaer in recent weeks following the Red Devils’ disappointing form so far this season.
However, Scholes seems to believe that the Norwegian is the right man for the job – as long as the Red Devils are prepared to be patient and allow him control over transfers.
Speaking in an interview quoted by FourFourTwo, Scholes said: “I think [Solskjaer needs] four or five transfer windows, and they have to be good transfer windows.
“Ole’s first three signings have been good and promising. As long as he is in charge of the players coming in, I don’t see a problem.
“We hope it goes to back challenging for titles and Champions Leagues.”
Manchester United are currently preparing for their crunch showdown with arch rivals and Premier League leaders Liverpool FC at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Liverpool FC head into the clash having won all eight of their Premier League games so far this term.
