Tottenham Hotspur are planning to sell Christian Eriksen in the January transfer window, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Spurs are hoping to offload Eriksen to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the next transfer window.

The same article states that the north London side are reluctant to lose Eriksen for nothing at the end of the 2019-20 Premier League season.

According to the same story, the Denmark international has made it clear that he has no intention of putting pen to paper on a new deal at Spurs.

The Daily Mirror go on to add that Eriksen’s stance means that Tottenham are determined to secure a transfer fee for the Danish playmaker in January.

Tottenham have made a disappointing start to the Premier League season following a 3-0 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion last time out.

Spurs have only managed to record three victories in their opening eight games to leave Mauricio Pochettino’s side in mid-table.

The Lilywhites have lost to Newcastle United, Leicester and Brighton in their last six outings.

Eriksen has netted 66 times in 277 games in all competitions over the past six seasons since his move to Spurs from Ajax in 2013.

Tottenham lost 2-0 to Liverpool FC in the Champions League final in Madrid last season.
