‘He’s done’: Piers Morgan sends message to Arsenal board about Unai Emery
Piers Morgan has his say on Unai Emery's situation at Arsenal after the defeat by Leicester
Piers Morgan has taken to social media to tell the Arsenal board that Unai Emery is “just not good enough” to continue as manager.
The Gunners suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss to Leicester City in the Premier League at the King Power Stadium on Saturday night as they lost yet more ground in the top-four race.
Goals from Jamie Vardy and James Maddison left Arsenal facing their third Premier League defeat of the season.
Arsenal have been struggling to find consistent form in recent weeks and the Gunners currently find themselves in sixth place in the table, having only won one of their last five games in the top flight.
The north London side will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on Southampton at home on Saturday 23 November after the international break.
However, celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan has not been impressed at all by the Gunners’ recent form and he thinks it’s time for the club to make a change.
Writing on Twitter after Arsenal’s defeat by Leicester City, Morgan said: “I’ve supported Emery since his appointment but it’s sadly clear he’s just not good enough.
“Arsenal were completely outplayed yesterday by a Leicester team that was a lot cheaper but also a lot hungrier, tougher, more determined & better organised. He’s done. #EmeryOut.”
Arsenal are aiming to try and break back into the top four this season after they finished fifth and without a trophy last term.
