Arsenal are set to battle it out with Inter Milan for the signature of Brazilian teenager Reinier Jesus, according to a report in England.
The Sun is reporting that the Gunners are looking to plan for a future without without Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The same article states that Arsenal have been scouting potential targets in South America in the hope of unearthing a replacement.
According to the same story, the Gunners have been impressed with Flamengo teenager Reinier after his good form for the Brazilian club.
The Sun go on to report that the Gunners are thought to have contacted the 17-year-old’s father about a potential bid for the teenager.
The report continues that Arsenal can expect to face competition from Serie A side Inter Milan, who have also been scouting Reinier.
The Brazilian forward is also being linked with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Juventus and Everton, The Sun report adds.
Arsenal signed Brazilian teenager Gabriel Martinelli in the summer from Ituano.
The 18-year-old has impressed in the cup competitions with four goals in two games in the League Cup and three goals in three games in the Europa League.
Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw with Southampton at The Emirates in the Premier League at the weekend.
