The Brazil international helped the west London side to make a swift return to winning ways following the disappointment of a 2-1 loss to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup fourth round last week.
Jorginho produced a mesmerising pass to pick out England international Tammy Abraham in the fifth minute to break the deadlock against the Hornets at Vicarage Road.
Christian Pulisic doubled the west London outfit’s lead in the second half before the top-four challengers conceded a late penalty against their London rivals.
Jorginho finished the Premier League clash with one assist, 94 per cent pass completion, two successful tackles and two completed dribbles in a solid display.
BBC Sport pundit Crooks admitted that he felt compelled to include Jorginho in his team of the week following his influential display against Watford at the weekend.
“The ball from Jorginho for Tammy Abraham to score against Watford was out of this world,” Crooks told BBC Sport.
“It was a move that doesn’t just happen by accident; this was phase of play that has been worked on and orchestrated by the coaching staff and players, and it was wonderful to watch.
“Last week it was Mateo Kovacic who made my TOTW at the expense of Jorginho, but the Italian made such an impact against the Hornets that I felt compelled to select him above Kovacic and fellow midfielder Willian, such was his performance.”
Chelsea FC signed Jorginho in a £57m deal from Napoli in the 2018 summer transfer window under Frank Lampard’s predecessor Maurizio Sarri.
The Blues haven’t won the Premier League title since Antonio Conte’s first season in charge of the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Chelsea FC will take on Crystal Palace on at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
