The Blues striker broke the deadlock in the 68th minute of the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon after Abraham produced a clinical finish from Willian’s pass.
Abraham has scored 10 times in 12 games in the Premier League this season to sit just behind Jamie Vardy at the top of the goal-scoring charts.
The 22-year-old has scored four goals more than Kane in the Premier League this season after Frank Lampard placed his faith in the English striker.
Abraham has also netted one goal and has made one assist in four Champions League outings this term to keep Olivier Giroud out of the team.
Former Spurs striker Abraham believes that Gareth Southgate could be facing a selection headache when he selects his next England team given the Chelsea FC forward’s prolific performances.
Lineker wrote on Twitter: “Lovely finisher is
@tammyabraham. @HKane has serious competition for his England place, which has to be a good thing.”
Chelsea FC have won their last six Premier League games to cement their position in the top four.
The Blues have established a nine-point lead over the chasing pack containing Sheffield United and Arsenal.
Lampard’s side have scored 27 times in 12 games in the Premier League this season.
Chelsea FC are level on points with high-flying Leicester City after the Foxes were 2-0 winners against Arsenal on Saturday evening.
