‘I am very lucky’: Chelsea FC star talks up Lampard influence
Kepa Arrizabalaga talks up Frank Lampard's influence in the Chelsea FC team
Kepa Arrizabalaga has admitted that he feels honoured to be working under Frank Lampard at Chelsea FC this season.
The Spanish goalkeeper has been getting used to life under Chelsea FC’s new coach after Lampard was brought in as Maurizio Sarri’s successor at Stamford Bridge back in July.
Lampard has been earning lots of praise for the impact he has had at Stamford Bridge since returning to the club he spent most of his playing career with.
The Blues have found some good form in recent weeks and they currently find themselves in fourth place in the Premier League after having won their last five top-flight games on the spin.
The 25-year-old Kepa has started all 11 of Chelsea FC’s Premier League games so far this season, and the shot-stopper has admitted that he is thrilled to be working under Blues legend Lampard.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Kepa said: “He is a coach that was, and he is a legend in the club.
“He was a very important player during his football career.
“Now he is in his second year as a coach but he is sharing all his experience.
“Everything he knows about football, and everything he has lived, gave to Chelsea, and the titles he won with them like the Champions League, the Premier League and all the possible trophies.
“I am very lucky to have him as a coach.”
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime when they host Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are aiming to maintain their spot in the top four this term after they finished third under Sarri last season.
