Mount has been a regular fixture in the first team at Stamford Bridge this season, with the 20-year-old having started all 11 of Chelsea FC’s Premier League games this term.
Lampard has been placing his faith in youth this season and Mount has been rewarding his manager with some fine displays for the west London side.
He played the full 90 minutes as Chelsea FC claimed an important 2-1 win at Watford in the Premier League on Saturday – and he has scored four goals and made one assist in the top flight so far this term.
Chelsea FC fans will be delighted to see young talent such as Mount flourish under Lampard this season.
And the Chelsea FC boss says that he is “blessed” by the talent on show at Stamford Bridge at the moment.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Saturday’s win, Lampard said: “I want the team to have a lot of energy and to be difficult to play against, but after that, I’m blessed by having so many high quality players.
“We’ve got Jorginho and [Mateo] Kovacic while Mason [Mount] has announced himself – I can go throughout the team.
“The fans want to see good football, and I want the ball to be moved quickly, and be a little bit unpredictable.
“I want you to be able to see a clip of us playing out but also have the ability to go long and hit Tammy.”
Chelsea FC will return to Champions League action on Tuesday night with a home clash against Ajax.
They will then switch their attentions back towards the Premier League and their home clash against Crystal Palace next Saturday before the final international break of the year.
