Chelsea FC enter the race to sign quality Lyon striker – report
Chelsea FC are keen on a deal to sign striker Moussa Dembele from Lyon next summer, say reports
Chelsea FC have entered the race to sign Moussa Dembele from Lyon, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the west London club are keen on a deal to bring the 23-year-old to Stamford Bridge next summer.
The same story says that Chelsea FC have joined fellow Premier League rivals Manchester United in the race to sign the attacker.
The article claims that Chelsea FC are now “exploring” a deal to bring the forward to Stamford Bridge next summer.
Dembele has been in top form for Lyon so far this season, scoring 11 games in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit.
According to the same article, Manchester United are looking at Dembele as a potential target for the January transfer window.
However, it is claimed in the same report that Lyon may be inclined to keep hold of him until the summer, which is when Chelsea FC could make their move.
As things stand, Chelsea FC are unable to sign any new players in the January transfer window as they serve the second part of their ban from Fifa.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their home Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon as they look to make it six wins in a row in the top flight.
