The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Blues are hoping their transfer ban will be overturned in the Court of Arbitration for Sport later this month to allow Frank Lampard to sign new players in January.
The same article states that Chelsea FC are still planning their transfer business next summer after Lampard was unable to make any new signings following his appointment as Maurizio Sarri’s replacement in the summer.
According to the same story, Lampard is a big admirer of Milinkovic-Savic and the Chelsea FC manager is hoping to lure the Lazio star to Stamford Bridge.
The Daily Mirror go on to add that the Blues boss believes that the Serbia international would add greater experience to his midfield to complement players such as Mason Mount.
Chelsea FC were 2-0 winners against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon thanks to goals from Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic.
The Blues are sitting in third place in the Premier League table and nine points ahead of fifth-placed Sheffield United.
Chelsea FC came from 4-1 down to rescue a 4-4 draw with Dutch side Ajax in the Champions League last week.
