Dimitar Berbatov is backing Chelsea FC to beat West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon
Dimitar Berbatov is backing Chelsea FC to overpower West Ham in the London derby at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues will welcome the their London rivals to Stamford Bridge in search of a league victory to return to winning ways after a testing week.
Chelsea FC lost 2-1 to defending Premier League champions Manchester City last weekend after Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez cancelled out N’Golo Kante’s opener.
The Blues played out a 2-2 draw with Valencia in Spain on Wednesday night after Christian Pulisic and Mateo Kovacic helped Frank Lampard’s side secure a valuable point on the road.
Chelsea FC couldn’t ask for a better game to help restore confidence given that their opponents West Ham haven’t won a Premier League fixture since a 2-0 victory against Manchester United on 20 September.
The Hammers are without a win in their last seven top-flight fixtures, losing five times and drawing twice.
Former Spurs forward Berbatov is backing Chelsea FC to ease to a 3-1 victory over London rivals West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
“From what I saw in their match against Spurs, West Ham seem to wake up in the last 15 minutes which is never enough,” Berbatov told Betfair.
“Chelsea are still on a decent run despite their last couple of results, so I think they will have too much for Pellegrini’s side at Stamford Bridge.”
Chelsea FC finished in third place in the Premier League table last season.
The Blues won the Europa League title before Maurizio Sarri left the club to be replaced by Lampard.
