Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic has asked to move to Manchester United, according to a report in Italy.

Italian media outlet Tuttosport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Juve striker has finally made a decision about his future.

The same article states that Mandzukic wants to move to the 20-time English champions in the January transfer window.

According to the same story, the Croatia international has asked Juventus to allow him to train with Manchester United ahead of his move.

The report goes on to add that the 33-year-old wants to link up with the Red Devils squad in December before his transfer goes through in January.

The Italian newspaper report goes on to claim that Mandzukic is keen to regain full fitness after being left on the sidelines at Juventus this term.

Juventus and Mandzukic would need to reach an informal agreement if the World Cup finalist is to be given permission to train with Man United, the story concludes.

The Croatian striker has played for NK Zagreb, Dinamo Zagreb, Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Juventus during his career.

Mandzukic has won two Bundesliga titles, four Serie A crowns, two German Cups, two Coppa Italia trophies and the Spanish Super Cup.

The Croatian striker has netted 44 times in 162 games for Juve.
