The Citizens have won their last three Premier League games, including a 2-1 win against Southampton last weekend after coming from 1-0 down to rescue three points.
Former Manchester United striker Berbatov is backing Manchester City to beat Liverpool FC at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
“Whoever plays in goal for Manchester City won’t be too much of a concern for Pep Guardiola, as he has faith in Ederson’s understudy Claudio Bravo,” Berbatov told Metro.
“The City manager will be aiming to come away from Anfield with three points on Sunday.
“It will be tight, and the first half could be a tactical chess match, but I’m backing City to nick this one and blow the title race wide open.”
The Reds haven’t won the Premier League title in their history.
Liverpool FC finished in second place in 2002, 2009, 2014 and 2018.
The Merseyside outfit are unbeaten in 16 Premier League games against Manchester City.
The Citizens haven’t won at Anfield since Nicolas Anelka scored against his former club back in May 2003.
