The Reds claimed an impressive victory over the defending champions at Anfield on Sunday thanks to goals from Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Bernardo Silva pulled a goal back for the visitors but Liverpool FC held on to claim all three points and move eight points clear at the top of the table.
Jurgen Klopp is hoping to steer his Liverpool FC side to title glory after the Reds missed out on the trophy by a single point last season.
Former Liverpool FC midfielder Redknapp feels that Sunday’s result has put the Reds firmly in the driving seat for the title as they look to try and go one step further in the top flight this season.
Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Redknapp said: “It is Liverpool’s to lose.
“I said that last month, after Manchester City lost 2-0 at home to Wolves and they beat Leicester 2-1, and yesterday’s victory at Anfield only reinforced my beliefs.
“Nine points is a big gap. Barring any crazy injuries, Liverpool are well on their way to being crowned champions, with Jordan Henderson the man who would lift the trophy come May.”
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Crystal Palace away from home on 23 November.
The Reds will then turn their attentions back to Champions League affairs and their clash against Napoli on 27 November.
