Arsenal left it late to fight back to earn a point against Southampton as they sealed a 2-2 draw at The Emirates to heap further pressure on Unai Emery.
The result left Arsenal without a Premier League win in their last five games in the English top flight.
Meanwhile, Manchester United played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday afternoon to leave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men with two wins in their last five outings in the top flight.
Both Arsenal and Manchester United have only managed to win four of their opening 13 games in the Premier League to leave them off the pace in the race for Champions League qualification.
Celebrity Arsenal fan and former Daily Mirror editor Morgan has clearly not been impressed by what he has seen from both clubs in recent weeks and months.
Writing in a post on Twitter during Manchester United’s draw on Sunday, Morgan said: “Watching Arsenal yesterday and Manchester United today, it’s incredible to think these were the two dominant clubs in the Premier League a few years ago.
“They both look a complete shambles, but worse than that – the players don’t seem to have any heart or hunger.”
Arsenal will return to Premier League action with a trip to Norwich City on Sunday, while Manchester United will take on Aston Villa later on the same day at Old Trafford.
