The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Red Devils are indeed in the market to make some signings in the new year and it is their options up front they are looking at in particular.
The same story says that Manchester United have “money to spend” in the new year and they will be looking to make additions, despite publicly playing down the possibility of new signings in January.
It is claimed in the article that Solskjaer will be “focusing on improving his attacking options” in the January transfer window as the Red Devils look to add to their squad ahead of next season.
Manchester United have made something of a stuttering start to the new Premier League season.
They currently find themselves down in ninth place in the top flight table after having won only four of their opening 13 games in the top flight this term.
Solskjaer’s side were held to a 3-3 draw by Sheffield United last weekend and they will be looking to return to winning ways when they take on Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
