The Times is reporting that the Red Devils are putting together a proposal that they intend to offer to the Austrian club in the January transfer window.

According to the same story, the 20-time English champions expect the bidding to start at around £60m for the Norway international given the reported interest from a host of top clubs.
The Times go on to report that the Red Devils could face competition from Serie A giants Juventus and La Liga club Real Madrid in the January transfer window.
Manchester United could loan Haaland back to RB Salzburg for the rest of the 2019-20 season if they manage to land the striker, the story goes on to add.
Haaland has scored 15 times in 12 games in the Australian top flight as well as seven goals in four outings in the Champions League.
Manchester United were held to a 3-3 draw with promoted side Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday.
The Red Devils are in eighth position in the Premier League table.
