Manchester United are confident that they’re leading the race to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho in the summer transfer window, according to a report in England.

The Telegraph is reporting that Manchester United believe they’re frontrunners for Sancho’s signature despite interest from Liverpool FC, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona keeping tabs on the teenager.

The same article states that Sancho is thought to set to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the 2019-20 Bundesliga season following his impressive performances.

According to the same story, Manchester City have asked to be kept informed of developments regarding their former player, while Arsenal look set to be priced out of a move.

The Telegraph go on to add that Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to sign the England international to help rebuild the Red Devils team.

Liverpool FC are cautious about becoming embroiled in a bidding war with Manchester United given that Sancho has two years left to run on his current deal at Dortmund, according to the report.

Manchester United drew 3-3 with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday to leave them struggling for consistent form in the Premier League.

The Red Devils are in eighth place in the Premier League table and nine points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea FC.
