Manchester United are planning a swoop to re-sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in the summer transfer window, according to a report in England.

The Sun is reporting that the Red Devils believe that Zaha would be a big hit at Old Trafford the second time around despite selling the Ivory Coast international in 2014.

The same article states that Crystal Palace would demand a big transfer fee to sell Zaha in the summer because of the winger’s importance to the south London side.

According to the same story, Manchester United would need to make an offer in the region of £70m to convince Crystal Palace to sell their prized asset.

The Sun go on to add that it’s unclear whether Zaha would be interested in a move to Manchester United following his difficult first spell at the 20-time English champions.

Zaha, 27, scored 10 times and made five assists in 34 games in the Premier League last season.

The Ivorian winger has netted 32 times in 175 Premier League fixtures since his return to Palace.

Zaha was Sir Alex Ferguson’s last signing of his Manchester United reign in 2013.

However, the African winger only made two appearances for Manchester United before he was sent out on loan to Cardiff City in 2013-14.
