The Spurs boss is currently getting used to life at the north London after having been brought in as Mauricio Pochettino’s successor last week following the Argentine’s sacking.
Mourinho made a winning start to life in charge at Spurs after the Lilywhites claimed a 3-2 win over West Ham United in the Premier League at the weekend.
Tottenham will now be looking to climb the Premier League table in the coming weeks and months as they look to put themselves back in contention for a top-four finish.
Spurs are inevitably going to be linked with a number of potential signings in the January transfer window as Mourinho gets the chance to bolster his squad midway through the campaign.
However, the Portuguese coach seems to have all but ruled out the possibility of Tottenham signing former Manchester United striker Ibrahimovic in the new year.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Mourinho said: “I would say we have one of the top strikers in England.
“It doesn’t make any sense of a striker of Zlatan’s dimension to come to a club where we have Harry Kane.”
Tottenham will return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon with a home clash against Bournemouth.
After that, Mourinho will prepare his side for a trip to face his old club Manchester United.
