Piers Morgan reacts to Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Everton
Piers Morgan takes to social media to offer his reaction to Arsenal's uninspiring 0-0 draw with Everton in the Premier League
Piers Morgan has taken to social media to admit that Arsenal’s goalless draw with Everton in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime was one of the worst games he’s ever seen.
The two sides played out an uninspiring clash at Goodison Park as Arsenal managed the only two shots on target of the whole game.
The north London side just shaded possession on Merseyside as they sealed a point to move up to ninth place in the Premier League table.
New Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was in the stands at Goodison Park as Freddie Ljungberg oversaw his final game in interim charge of the Gunners.
Celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan was clearly not very impressed by what he saw from the visitors during the clash at Goodison Park.
Writing on Twitter during the game, Morgan said: “This is one of the worst games of football I’ve ever endured. #efcafc.”
Earlier in the game, Morgan wrote: “This is such an insipid, uninspiring, boring Arsenal team.
“Nothing to stir the soul. Devoid of passion. Frightened to take chances. Relentlessly mediocre. We can change the manager all we like – but we need better players.”
England legend Gary Lineker also chimed in on Twitter after the final whistle to poke fun at both sides.
Lineker wrote: “Rumours that both Arteta and Ancelotti have resigned are apparently not true.”
Arsenal will return to Premier League action after Christmas with a trip to Bournemouth on Boxing Day.
The north London side will then take on Chelsea FC and Manchester United at home during the busy festive schedule in the Premier League.
Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
