The Gunners are currently on the lookout for a new manager after having sacked Unai Emery last week.
Freddie Ljungberg has taken temporary charge of first-team affairs at The Emirates and he led the Gunners to a 2-2 draw at Norwich City at the weekend.
The north London side have been linked with a host of potential candidates for their next manager, with Pochettino now out of work after having been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur last month.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal would approach Pochettino and whether the Argentine would be willing to take charge of Tottenham Hotspur’s arch rivals.
However, former Gunners goalkeeper Seaman seems to think that the would be a brilliant appointment for the north London side.
Speaking in an interview with talkSPORT, Seaman said: “Yeah I’ve seen a lot of the people that have been mentioned and I was hoping someone like Patrick Vieira might get a chance of being in there.
“But it doesn’t look like that would happen. The name that I keep going back to now is Poch!
“If you asked the players if they would take him now and I bet you a good 90 per cent of them would say yes.”
Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Thursday night when they host Brighton and Hove Albion at The Emirates.
The north London side have only won four of their 14 games in the Premier League so far this season to leave them off the pace in the race for Champions League qualification.
