Freddie Ljungberg took charge of his first Arsenal game at Carrow Road after having been appointed as the north London club’s interim manager following the sacking of Unai Emery on Friday.
Arsenal fell behind in the 21st minute when Teemu Pukki fired home, but Arsenal levelled when Aubameyang converted his penalty at the second attempt.
Todd Cantwell put the home side ahead with a cool finish on the stroke of half-time to give the Canaries the lead at the break.
However, Aubameyang, 30, made it 2-2 when he fired home from inside the box to earn Arsenal another equaliser.
Both sides had chances to win it and Bernd Leno made a number of key saves in the Arsenal goal, but the Gunners had to settle for a point in their first game following Emery’s sacking.
Celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan was active on Twitter during the game and he posted an update after Aubameyang’s equaliser in the second half, writing: “BOOM! 2-2 – where would we be without the wondrous
@Aubameyang7? Two more for our goal machine.”
The former Daily Mirror editor then offered his reaction after the final whistle, adding in a separate tweet: “Genuinely thrilled to get a draw against Norwich. That’s how far we’ve fallen. #afc.”
Arsenal will now prepare for their home Premier League clash against Brighton and Hove Albion at The Emirates on Thursday night.
It remains to be seen whether the Gunners will have appointed a new manager by then or not.
