Piers Morgan reacts to Arsenal’s 3-1 win over West Ham United
Piers Morgan has his say on Arsenal's 3-1 comeback win against West Ham United on Tuesday night
Piers Morgan has taken to social media to offer his reaction to Arsenal’s 3-1 comeback win over West Ham United in the Premier League on Monday night.
The Gunners looked to be heading to another Premier League defeat at the London Stadium when Angelo Ogbonna netted for the hosts before half-time.
However, three goals in nine second-half minutes turned the game on its head as Gabriel Martinelli, Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all netted.
The result was Arsenal’s fifth win in the Premier League this season and it was a welcome one given their dire form so far this term.
Celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan has been incredibly critical of the Gunners in recent weeks during their poor form but he was clearly a happy man after the final whistle on Monday night.
Morgan posted on Twitter after the game: “FT: 1-3. Incredible turnaround given how catastrophically bad we were for 50 mins.
“Whatever @freddie said at half-time, it worked. Congrats to him & Captain Fantastic @Aubameyang7 for leading such an unlikely fightback.
“God it’s exhausting being an Arsenal fan. Night.”
Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Manchester City at The Emirates.
They will be looking to climb the Premier League table during the hectic festive period, as they are currently down in ninth place in the table after 16 games.
Arsenal have not won the Premier League since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 season.
