Dimitar Berbatov predicts Arsenal v Man City
Dimitar Berbatov looks ahead to Arsenal's home clash with Man City on Sunday afternoon
Dimitar Berbatov is backing Arsenal and Manchester City to play out a 2-2 draw in their Premier League clash at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners head into the game looking to make it back to back wins in the Premier League after Freddie Ljungberg’s side claimed a 3-1 victory over West Ham United in the top flight last time out.
Arsenal have struggled to find consistent form all season and they head into this game having only won five of their 16 games in the top flight this term.
Manchester City, meanwhile, have been suffering from a dip in form in recent weeks and Pep Guardiola’s side have only won two of their last five games in the Premier League.
The Citizens’ recent slump in form has caused them to fall well off the pace in the race for the Premier League title as Liverpool FC continue to lead the way.
Former Tottenham and Manchester United striker Berbatov is backing the two teams to share the spoils when they go head to head in north London on Sunday afternoon.
Writing in his column for Metro, Berbatov said: “The Premier League title is now out of City’s reach but they will still give everything to the race, starting with their trip to Arsenal on Sunday.
“Arsenal were poor against Standard Liege in midweek before two late goals grabbed them a draw.
“You really don’t know how Arsenal will perform but I expect them to raise their game for City’s visit and can see them getting a draw.”
Arsenal will return to Premier League action with a trip to Everton next weekend, while Manchester City face Oxford United in the League Cup quarter-finals in midweek.
