
The striker picked up a painful looking knock during Chelsea FC’s 2-2 draw with Valencia in the Champions League last week and he missed the 1-0 loss to West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday as a result.
Chelsea FC are now preparing for their home clash against Aston Villa on Wednesday afternoon as they look to bounce back to winning ways in front of their home fans.
Lampard was quizzed about Abraham’s fitness levels in his post-match news conference on Saturday and the Blues boss issued the following update.
Lampard said on Saturday: “We will find out more today and tomorrow.
“He needs to get outside and move a little bit outside over the next two days.”
Abraham himself had posted on social media in the wake of the draw with Valencia last week, thanking Chelsea FC fans for their support and delivering an update on his condition.
Writing on a post on Instagram last week, Abraham said: “Thankful for all the messages. I’ll be back soon.”
Chelsea FC will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they host Villa on Wednesday night after back to back defeats by Manchester City and West Ham United in the top flight.
The Blues are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table this season as they chase Champions League qualification this term.
