Chelsea FC planning move to sign Ivory Coast attacker in January – report
Chelsea FC are planning a move to sign Wilfried Zaha in the January transfer window, say reports
Chelsea FC are planning a January move to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Frank Lampard is keen for the west London side to sign the 27-year-old Ivory Coast international to “beef up” his attacking options at Stamford Bridge.
According to the same story, Zaha is keen on a move away from Crystal Palace to join a “big club” and Chelsea FC could fit the bill.
Zaha has been in decent form for Crystal Palace this season, scoring two goals and making one assist in 16 Premier League appearances so far.
Chelsea FC are free to sign players in the January transfer window after their ban was overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport last week.
With the Blues not having signed any new stars in the summer due to the suspension, the west London side are likely to be linked with a host of possible signings in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, the Blues will return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.
The west London side are aiming to bounce back to winning ways after the disappointment of their 3-1 loss to Everton last weekend.
