Chelsea FC are still interested in a deal to sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha next summer, according to a report in England.
The Independent is reporting that Chelsea FC director of football Marina Granovskaia has spoken to Italian agent Federico Pastorello about a potential move to sign Zaha at the end of the Premier League season.
The same article states that the Blues are long-term admirers of the Ivory Coast international following his standout performances for Palace over the past few Premier League seasons.
According to the same story, Zaha is desperate to play Champions League football after his move to Arsenal fell through in the 2019 summer transfer window.
The Independent go on to add that Chelsea FC could find agreeing a fee with Crystal Palace for Zaha a tough assignment given their club chairman Steven Parish’s reluctance to sell.
Chelsea FC were 2-1 winners against promoted side Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night thanks to goals from Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount.
However, the Blues lost 3-1 to Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday to narrow their advantage to five points over fifth-placed Manchester United.
Chelsea FC are in fourth position in the Premier League table as they look to try and secure their spot in the Champions League for next season.
They will host French side Lille at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League on Tuesday night before a home clash against Bournemouth in the Premier League next weekend.
