Jurgen Klopp drops Liverpool FC transfer hint ahead of January window
Jurgen Klopp suggests that Liverpool FC will be active in the January transfer window
Jurgen Klopp has said that Liverpool FC are “always ready” to make new signings as the January transfer window draws nearer.
The Reds are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table after having made an impressive start to the new Premier League season and establishing themselves as the firm favourites for the title.
The mid-season transfer window will hand Liverpool FC and the other Premier League clubs the chance to add to their squads and bolster their teams in preparation for the second half of the campaign.
Liverpool FC are bound to be linked with a host of names in the coming weeks as Klopp considers bringing in some reinforcements in the new year.
Klopp’s comments come after Pep Guardiola played the chances of Manchester City making any signings in the transfer window in January.
Asked if he was surprised by Guardiola’s comments, Klopp was quoted as saying by Sky Sports before Wednesday’s clash with Everton: “I’m not here to speak about the Man City transfer window.
“I’m only hearing this now for the first time. Am I surprised? No. But it’s not important.
“We don’t speak about it. We are pretty much always ready – if we can do something which helps us, we will try to do it. If not we will not.”
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Bournemouth as they look to continue their march tot he top flight title.
The Reds finished in second place in the Premier League table last season and a point behind Guardiola’s Manchester City side.
