Liverpool FC have entered the race to sign German wonderkid Karim Adeyemi, according to a report in England.
Spanish media outlet Sport, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Reds are ready to rival La Liga giants FC Barcelona for the teenager’s signature.
The same article states that Liverpool FC received first-hand experience of Adeyemi after the Reds faced RB Salzburg in the Uefa Youth League.
According to the same story, FC Barcelona have been keeping tabs on the 17-year-old, with the club’s academy director Patrick Kluivert driving their interest.
The report goes on to add that Liverpool FC’s Premier League rivals Arsenal are also interested in the exciting German prospect ahead of the January transfer window.
Sport claim that Klopp’s former employers Borussia Dortmund could also cement their interest in the teenager.
Liverpool FC would be an attractive proposition given their position in the Premier League table.
The Reds are sitting eight points clear of their closest rivals Leicester City in the Premier League title race after a 5-2 rout of Everton in the derby on Wednesday night.
Liverpool FC haven’t ever won the Premier League title but the Merseyside outfit have finished in second place in 2002, 2009, 2014 and 2018.
The Reds will take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
