The Daily Mirror states that Liverpool FC are looking to sign reinforcements in the January transfer window given their hectic fixture schedule this winter.
The same article states that the Reds were left impressed by the 24-year-old Japan international after he faced Liverpool FC twice during the Champions League group stage.
According to the same story, the Merseyside outfit are interested in his services after learning that Minamino is available for just £7.75m due to a clause in his current deal.
The Daily Mirror go on to add that the Reds have been impressed with the Japanese midfielder’s versatility, as well as his running stats.
The report adds that Liverpool FC are also looking to expand their brand in the Far East and believe Minamino could help them to do so.
Liverpool FC were 2-0 winners against RB Salzburg in the Champions League on Tuesday night thanks to goals from Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah.
The Reds are sitting at the top of the Premier League table with an eight-point lead.
The Merseyside outfit will take on Watford in their next top-flight clash on Saturday afternoon.
