Harry Maguire is confident that Manchester United have what it takes to maintain a sustained challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.

The Red Devils have won their last two games against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City in impressive style to leave them in fifth place in the table.

The victories were welcome for Manchester United, who have struggled to find consistent form in the Premier League all season.

Goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial handed Manchester United the victory at The Etihad on Saturday night as they climbed the table to leave themselves within five points of fourth-placed Chelsea FC.

Manchester United will take on Everton at Old Trafford in their next Premier League game on Sunday afternoon.

And Red Devils defender Maguire is confident that the Red Devils will be able to continue to challenge for Champions League qualification as the hectic festive period in the Premier League looms large.

Speaking in an interview quoted by the Daily Star, Maguire said: “I think you need to look after your own results, don’t look elsewhere, keep winning games.

“We’ve won back-to-back games against Spurs and City. We’ve got another big game next week now.

“The top four is in sight but we just keep looking after our own results, keep trying to get the three points and keep improving.”

Manchester United are aiming to break back into the top four this season after they finished sixth and without a trophy under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last term.
