Solskjaer delivers latest update for Man United fans on Pogba
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer delivers the latest update on Paul Pogba's injury situation at Man United
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Paul Pogba is not yet fully fit as the Manchester United midfielder continues his rehabilitation from injury.
The Red Devils midfielder has not featured for Manchester United since the 1-1 draw with Arsenal back in September and he has only made five appearances in the Premier League this season.
Pogba has been sidelined with an ankle injury since the draw with the Gunners and he has not yet been able to recover and make himself available for selection.
Solskjaer was asked for an update on Pogba before Manchester United’s clash with AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday night – and the Norwegian revealed that he is hoping to have the midfielder back in action before January.
Asked whether Pogba will be able to make a return before the new year, Solskjaer replied: “Yeah, I hope so.
“He is working hard to get fit and hopefully we can get him back on the pitch.
“Let’s get him fit and back in form. He will play loads of games. He’s one of the best players in the world and we’re looking forward to having him back.”
Manchester United will return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Everton at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer’s side are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table as they seek Champions League qualification via a top-four finish this season.
The Red Devils finished in sixth place and without a trophy last term under Solskjaer.
