Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hints that Man United will be active in the January transfer window
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that Manchester United will be very active in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils are likely to be linked with a number of potential signings in the coming weeks as the Manchester United head coach looks at bolstering his squad ahead of the second part of the season.
Manchester United have endured something of a stuttering start to the new campaign but they have bounced back to win their last three games in all competitions.
Solskjaer watched his side claim an impressive 4-0 win over AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday night, which followed back to back Premier League victories over Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Red Devils boss was asked about his plans for the January window after the European clash and the Norwegian seemed to hint that Manchester United are likely to be busy.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Solskjaer said: “We are looking to strengthen in many positions.
“We are getting there but we still need two or three players to have enough numbers.”
Manchester United will return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they host Everton at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils currently find themselves in fifth place in the Premier League table as they look to try and break back into the top four this season.
