The midfield duo have both been out injured in recent weeks and they sat out the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
McTominay has been out injured since picking up a problem during the win over Brighton and Hove Albion last month, while Pogba has not featured since the draw against Arsenal back at the end of September.
Solskjaer was quizzed about the fitness of the midfield duo and the Manchester United boss seemed to indicate that at least one of them could be fit for the clash against Spurs.
Speaking at his news conference after Sunday’s draw, Solskjaer said when asked about the duo: “We have still got two days and we need to look at everyone here as well.
“We have only got two days, so let’s see, but, hopefully, we can see one of them on the pitch.
”They are working hard behind the scenes.“
Manchester United are preparing to welcome Jose Mourinho back to Old Trafford as the Spurs manager takes the north London side up to face his former club.
Mourinho will return to the Old Trafford dugout for the first time since being sacked by Manchester United almost exactly a year ago.
