Christan Eriksen ‘attracted’ by the idea of Man United move – report
Tottenham star Christian Eriksen is open to the idea of moving to Manchester United, according to a report
Christian Eriksen remains open to a potential move to Manchester United in the January transfer window, according to a report in England.
The Athletic, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Denmark international is eager to leave Tottenham Hotspur following six and a half seasons at the club.
The same article states that Eriksen has informed new Spurs manager Jose Mourinho that he still wants to leave the Lilywhites to seek a new challenge in his career.
According to the same story, Spurs are looking to offload Eriksen in the January transfer window to prevent losing the Danish playmaker for nothing next summer.
The Athletic go on to report that Eriksen is “attracted to the size and scale” of Manchester United despite the club’s inconsistent performances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The report continues that the former Ajax midfielder’s preferred destination would have been a move to Real Madrid last summer but a deal failed to materialise.
Juventus appear unlikely to make a move for Eriksen unless the Serie A champions can sign the Danish star on a free transfer given their recent history of signing free agents such as Aaron Ramsey and Emre Can, the story concludes.
Eriksen hasn’t won a major trophy since his move to Spurs in 2013.
