Mauricio Pochettino wants to become the next Manchester United manager, according to a report in England.

The Manchester Evening News is reporting that the former Spurs boss is “enchanted” by the idea of becoming the Manchester United manager in the future.

The same article states that the Argentinian head coach was initially considered as a replacement for Jose Mourinho last season before the Red Devils settled on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

According to the same story, Pochettino was hoping to be appointed as Mourinho’s replacement last season but Solskjaer managed make the interim position his own.

The Manchester Evening News go on to add that the former Tottenham boss is already in the running to become the next Arsenal manager in what would be a controversial appointment.

Pochettino is also being considered for the permanent managerial position at Bayern Munich at the end of the season, the report says.

The story suggests that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain could also be potential destinations for Pochettino in the future.

Pochettino guided Tottenham to a top-four finish in four successive seasons, but the Argentinian head coach failed to win silverware.

Spurs lost 2-0 to Liverpool FC in the Champions League final in Madrid last term following goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi.
