Man United confident of signing quality 19-year-old winger – report
Man United believe they are leading the race to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, say reports
Manchester United believe that they are in “pole position” to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are keen on a deal to land the 19-year-old forward next year, although Dortmund do not want to sell the teenager in January.
The same story says that the Red Devils are convinced that they are leading the race to sign the England international, despite the teenager having also been linked with the likes of Liverpool FC and Manchester City.
The article also reports that Manchester United are keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen, whose contract is set to expire in the summer.
Eriksen is said to favour a move to Spain, and Spurs are likely to want to cash-in in January rather than lose the playmaker for nothing next summer.
Sancho has been in top form for Dortmund so far this season, scoring seven goals and making seven assists in 12 Bundesliga games for the German side.
He has also netted twice and made two assists for the Bundesliga team in the Champions League this season.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their home clash against Everton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
