Michael Owen is backing West Ham and Arsenal to settle for a point each in Monday night’s London derby at the Olympic Stadium.
The Gunners haven’t won a game under their interim manager Freddie Ljungberg after he was appointed as Unai Emery’s successor last month.
Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw with promoted side Norwich City at Carrow Road last weekend before the Gunners slumped to a 2-1 defeat by Brighton at The Emirates on Thursday night.
The north London side are on their worst domestic run since 1977 following a winless streak that stretches back to a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth on 6 October.
West Ham were 1-0 winners against Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge last weekend to temporarily alleviate some of the pressure on Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini.
However, the Hammers lost 2-0 to Wolves in their mid-week fixture to leave the east London outfit two points above the relegation zone following a horrid run of results.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Arsenal to secure a point at West Ham on Monday night.
“West Ham have not won at the London Stadium since mid-September while Arsenal have not won on the road in the Premier League since the opening weekend of the season,” Owen told BetVictor.
“West Ham have won just one of their last nine in the league after their defeat at Molineux midweek, but I think they can take a point against the Gunners back at the London Stadium.”
Arsenal are in tenth place in the Premier League table and closer to the relegation zone than the Champions League spots.
The Gunners are looking to secure their first top-four finish in four seasons.
