Dimitar Berbatov predicts Wolves v Tottenham Hotspur
Dimitar Berbatov looks ahead to Tottenham Hotspur's trip to Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday
Dimitar Berbatov is backing Tottenham Hotspur to claim a 2-1 win over Wolves when they make the trip to Molineux in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Lilywhites head into the game looking to try and continue their recent solid form under Jose Mourinho since the Portuguese coach took over at the north London club last month.
Mourinho has led Tottenham to three wins from four in his first Premier League games in charge since he replaced Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs head into the game on the back of their 3-1 defeat by Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Wolves, meanwhile, have won three of their last five games in the Premier League heading into this weekend’s clash.
However, former Tottenham Hotspur striker Berbatov is backing the Lilywhites to claim all three points when they travel to face Wolves this weekend.
Writing in his column for Metro, Berbatov said: “This is probably the most interesting match of the weekend, with Jose Mourinho taking his rejuvenated Spurs side to face Wolves, one of the most attractive teams in the Premier League.
“Wolves are on an incredible nine match unbeaten run but I have a feeling that it will end on Sunday and Spurs can sneak this.”
Tottenham will return to Premier League action next weekend with a crunch home clash against Mourinho’s former employers Chelsea FC in north London.
They will then take on Brighton and Hove Albion and Norwich City in their next two Premier League games as the fixtures come thick and fast during the hectic festive period.
