Aaron Ramsey believes that there are plenty of positives for Arsenal to take from this season.

The Gunners finished fourth in the Premier League and ended their nine-year wait for a major trophy with victory in this month’s FA Cup final against Hull City.

I definitely think that we’ve taken a big step forward

And the 23-year-old midfielder feels that Arsene Wenger’s men have improved in general this term.

“I believe [we have made progress]. We had a great start to the season and a couple of hiccups after Christmas,” Ramsey told Arsenal Player.

“Then we got back on track and finished off strong. I definitely think that we’ve taken a big step forward.”

Ramsey enjoyed a stellar campaign and scored 16 goals but missed three months of the season with a thigh injury.

“It was really frustrating with what went on earlier in the season,” he said.

“It was a bit gutting to miss out on any part of it, as I wanted a full season and I felt really good out there.

“It was hard to watch it from the sides but that’s football and injuries happen.”
